Processing
DBD is a honey process coffee. This means during the washing process some of the fruit is left on the bean. The coffee bean is washed with some water and the mucilage from the fruit (this is the ‘honey’ part). As a result, the honey process is more eco-friendly than washing because it uses less water. The honey process imparts sweetness to the coffee with a hint of fruit. DBD boasts enticing flavors of decadent milk chocolate and sweet brown sugar. Its remarkable smoothness, coupled with a moderate to mild acidity, creates a harmonious cup that is sure to captivate your senses. Try other honey process coffees here.
Roast Level
Like many of our offerings, DBD is a City Roast. This means the beans are pulled from the roaster just as they turn a chocolatey color. At this stage, we find that the coffee’s authentic flavors shine without any smokiness or oil. This Salvadoran coffee is on the light side of medium to highlight its natural sweetness. At this roast level, the mouthfeel is pleasant and clean, with a heavy body.
Traceability
We’re pleased to say DBD comes to us Fair Trade. In the spirit of this coffee, it’s important to us that coffee farmers receive fair compensation for their work.

We will deliver orders from the Portland Metro Area within 1-3 business days free of charge. You can also choose local pickup. We will ship all other orders within 1-3 business days and provide tracking information via USPS Ground Advantage or Priority Mail. Free shipping is available for orders of $50 or more.

As our product is a food item, we are unable to process a return. If your order arrives damaged please reach out with pictures, and we will do our best to make it right!
